In the last 24 hours, 1315 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 33 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As of February 27, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 21,554. Yesterday, 39,086 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 10,865; Punjab:15,079; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP):7,215; Islamabad(ICT):4,382; Balochistan:556; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB):343 and Azad Kashmir(AJK):646.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 220 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.

A total of 578,797 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 10147; Balochistan:19038; GB:4956; ICT:44106, KPK:72003; Punjab:170817 and Sindh:257730.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 12837 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5337 casualties followed by Sindh:4335; KPK:2070; Islamabad: 496; Balochistan: 200; GB: 102 and AJK: 297.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 1,989 patients being treated across the country.
