In the last 24 hours, 1,392 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 36 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.

As of March 1, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 22,098. Yesterday, 38,338 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 10,057; Punjab: 16,777; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6,344; Islamabad: 4,995; Balochistan: 383; Gilgit-Baltistan: 377 and Azad Kashmir: 353.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 206 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.

A total of 546,371 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 10,243; Balochistan: 19,049; GB: 4,956; ICT: 44,373, KPK: 72,424; Punjab: 172,054 and Sindh: 258,266.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 12,896 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5,363 casualties followed by Sindh: 4,350; KPK: 2,079; Islamabad: 501; Balochistan: 200; GB: 102 and AJK: 301.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,005 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 8,990,176 tests.
