In the last 24 hours, 3,495 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 61 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As of March 18, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 24,592. Yesterday, 44,377 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 10,590; Punjab:17,127; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP):7,622; Islamabad(ICT):6,919; Balochistan:493; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB):352 and Azad Kashmir(AJK):1,274.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 272 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 577,501 recoveries.

A total of 615,810 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 11264; Balochistan:19269; GB:4965; ICT:49476, KPK:77443; Punjab:191186 and Sindh:262207.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 13717 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5896 casualties followed by Sindh:4469; KPK:2188; Islamabad: 531; Balochistan: 202; GB: 103 and AJK: 328.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,472 patients being treated across the country. A total of 9,648,242 tests have been conducted so far.
