In the last 24 hours, 1,780 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 39 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC).

As of March 7, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 18,055. Yesterday, 38,887 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 10,591: Punjab: 15,862; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6,712; Islamabad: 4,084; Balochistan: 366; Gilgit-Baltistan: 413 and Azad Kashmir: 859.

Of the ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients, 216 are occupied across Pakistan. 21% of the reserved ventilators are occupied in Peshawar, 17% in Multan, 30% in Islamabad, and 36% in Lahore. No patients are on ventilators in Balochistan, AJK, and GB. Of the allotted oxygen beds, 94% are occupied in Gujrat, 29% in Multan, 40% in Peshawar, and 27% in Islamabad.

A total of 590,508 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 10,534; Balochistan: 19,114; GB: 4,959; ICT: 45,519, KPK: 73,708; Punjab: 177,008 and Sindh: 259,666.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 13,205 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5,552 casualties followed by Sindh: 4,424; KPK: 2,109; Islamabad: 508; Balochistan: 201; GB: 102 and AJK: 309.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,060 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 9,212,480 tests.
