Over 4,000 COVID-19 patients critical as Pakistan records 73 more deaths

Pakistan has reported 2,455 new coronavirus infections and 73 more deaths as it continues to relax anti-virus restrictions, such as extended timings for markets and reopening of schools.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on its official web portal, the total death tally to 20,680. Meanwhile, at least 4,083 patients are in critical condition.

The positivity rate is 4.42 per cent across Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the government has deployed dogs to sniff out coronavirus at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar. The dogs have been trained to detect the COVID-19 among travellers arriving from abroad.
