The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has announced on Wednesday to collect capital gain tax (CGT) from Clearing members and Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMX) for July’s month on September 24, 2021.
In a notification to PSX, the Clearing Company said that the aggregate amount of CGT arising on the disposal of shares at PSX for the month of July would be collected on Friday, Sept 24, 2021.
The notification further said that All Clearing members are requested to ensure the required amount in their respective settling bank account and that all the required details have been made available in the CGT system.
Further, the aggregate amount of CGT arising on the trading of futures commodity contracts at PMX for the said period would also be collected from PMX on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.
The NCCPL further asked clearing members and PMX to include and verify the investor-wise details of total capital gain or loss and tax on it, if any, through reports.
The notification also warned that necessary actions according to the rules and regulations of NCCPL would be taken In case of none or partial collection of CGT.
