Asim Ahmed is being reported to become the new chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). He is serving as a member of Information Technology in FBR.
Journalist Kamran Khan claimed in a social media post that Asim Ahmed will become the new chairman of FBR. He said Shaukat Tarin has selected Asim Ahmed for this post. Asim Ahmed will be given the task to transform FBR into an IT-driven revenue collection body.
Outgoing FBR Chairman Javed Ghani, who was from Customs group, will retire on April 12, but he will handover the charge to the incoming chief on April 9 due to holidays.
