General Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr, the Incoming Commander US CENTCOM, called on COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ in Rawalpindi, says an ISPR press release.
Both commanders discussed matters of mutual interest and regional security situation, with particular reference to ongoing Afghanistan reconciliation process.
They agreed on importance of political resolution of Afghan situation.
General Bajwa said that Pakistan is committed to efforts for peace in Afghanistan as it is equally important for peace in Pakistan.
The visiting dignitaries acknowledged Pakistan’s commendable efforts in the fight against terrorism and ensuring regional stability.
