Three workers were killed and two sustained injuries in a blast in one of the plants of Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF) in Wah Cantt, said an ISPR press release.

A statement issued by the ISPR said that the explosion was caused due to a technical fault.

The situation is under control, said the ISPR.

Plumes of smoke rising in the air can be seen in a video uploaded on social media.

The blast was so powerful that the windows of nearby buildings and houses were shattered.

The Pakistan Ordnance Factories, located in the town of Wah, 45 kilometers from the capital Islamabad, is the largest conventional arms and ammunition production unit in the country.
