On Thursday morning, Imran Khan took to Twitter to express his gratitude to overseas Pakistanis for their generation of revenues which exceeded $200 million. The Prime Minister highlighted the role of the Central Bank’s Roshan Digital Account, thanking the diaspora for their ‘invaluable assets’.
“I am grateful to the overseas Pakistanis for their invaluable assets. The remittances sent by them through the Central Bank’s #RoshanDigitalAccount has exceeded $200 million,” tweeted PM Khan.
The Roshan Digital Account (RDA) is a tailor-made financial solution, designed to navigate overseas Pakistanis in their plans for investment in Pakistan based savings schemes and is suitable for both PKR and USD based transactions. It is an initiative of State Bank of Pakistan, in collaboration with commercial banks operating in Pakistan.
