The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the crescent of Rabi-ul-Awal 2021 1443 AH has been sighted in Pakistan and the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) will fall on October 19 (Tuesday).

The moon-sighting committee, headed by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, convened its meeting on Thursday evening.

Besides, meetings of zonal committees were also held in big cities of the country.

The first day of Rabi-ul-Awal 2021 will fall on Friday (October 8).

Muslims across the globe observe the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal.

Earlier, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted that there is a ‘good chance’ of sighting the new moon on the evening of October 7, corresponding to 29th of Safar.
