Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his grief at the loss of lives in Quetta blast on Wednesday night.

In a tweet on Thursday he wrote that the nation has rendered great sacrifices in defeating terrorism and will not allow the scourge to rise again.

The prime minister said: “I am deeply saddened by the loss of innocent lives in the condemnable & cowardly terrorist attack in Quetta yesterday. Our nation has made great sacrifices in defeating terrorism & we will not to allow this scourge to rise again. We remain alert to all internal & external threats”.

At least four people were killed and 12 others, including two assistant commissioners, sustained injuries in the bomb blast at Quetta’s Serena Hotel on Wednesday night that targeted Chinese ambassador.

However, the ambassador remained safe, as he was not present at the time of the blast, confirmed Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed.
