Prime Minister Imran Khan paid his respect at the Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him) in Madina and offered Navafil and said Maghrib prayers in the Masjid-e-Nabvi on Saturday.

The premier prayed for the progress and prosperity of the country.

The Prime Minister’s Twitter account tweeted a photograph of Prime Minister Imran sitting outside the Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him).

Earlier, the prime minister was received by Governor of Madina Prince Faisal bin Salman.

Prime Minister Imran was accompanied by his wife Bushra Begum and his delegation, including Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, KP Governor Shah Farman, Senator Faisal Javed and Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan.

Later, Prime Minister Imran held a meeting with Madina Governor Prince Faisal bin Salman.

Prime Minister Imran, who arrived in Saudi Arabia on a three-day visit on Friday, held talks with Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman and discussed bilateral ties and ways to further strengthen cooperation.

This is the prime minister’s third official visit to the kingdom since he came to power in August 2018.

The two countries also signed multiple agreements to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, media, prisoners exchange and others.

Prime Minister Imran and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman witnessed the signing of the agreements.

Both the countries signed an agreement to form Supreme Coordination Council to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in multiple fields.

An agreement for the exchange of convicted prisoners was also signed between the two countries.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia also signed framework agreements on energy projects and environmental protection. The two countries signed MoUs to enhance cooperation to curb smuggling as well as on workers’ recruitment.
