Prime Minister Imran Khan today confirmed two new appointments from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Senate. Senator Fida Muhammad Khan has been appointed chief whip, and Senator Ejaz Chaudary has been appointed as PTI’s parliamentary leader.

Senator Fida Muhammad Khan will be replacing Senator Sajjad Hussain Turi as the chief whip. Khan was elected to the Senate for PTI’s general seat from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018.

Senator Ejaz Chaudhary will be replacing Senator Dr Shahzad Waseem as the leader of the upper house. Chaudhary won the Senate seat from Punjab in 2021.
