According to data provided by the National Command and Operation Centre, 567 people tested positive for Covid-19 on 17 October. In a span of 24 hours, Pakistan has seen 16 coronavirus deaths while the number of active cases hovers around 9,296 as of 18 October.

A total of 323,019 cases have been detected so far, with 3437 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 15669 in Balochistan, 4047 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 17996 in Islamabd, 38598 in Islamabad, 38598 in Khuber Pakhtunkhua, 101559 in Punjab and 141713 in Sindh.

On 17 October, 32,062 tests for coronavirus were conducted, with Punjab leading with the highest number at 11,543, followed by Sindh with a total number of 9,094 tests. Khyber Pakhtunkhua has reported 4,711 tests, Islamabad 4682, Balochistan 1,023, Gilgi-Baltistan 402 and Azad Kashmir has reported a total number of 608 tests.

Pakistan has also reported a significant number of recoveries with the total number at 307,069, with no patients on ventilators in neither Azad Kashmir nor Balochistan.

The total number of ventilators reserved for coronavirus infections in Pakistan are 1884.

Currently, the total tally for coronavirus deaths has been at around 6654. Sindh remains the worst affected province with 2579 deaths while Punjab has reported a total number of 2298 deaths. As of now, the total number of deaths in Khyber Pakhtunkhua are 1265, Islamabad 84, Balochistan 147, Gilgit-Baltistan 90 and Azad Kashmir is at a total number of 81 deaths.

So far, 4,074,024 tests have been conducted in Pakistan while the number of hospitals facilitated to deal with coronavirus are 735. 793 coronavirus patients are admitted in hospital across Pakistan.
