At least 3,232 new coronavirus cases were reported across Pakistan during the last 24 hours whereas at least 74 people lost their lives to the deadly virus.

The National and Operation Centre in its daily data said that the positivity rate across the country has reached 8.8per cent while the total number of active cases in Pakistan are estimated 68,223.

Currently, there are 4,443 critical patients in the country.

Pakistan’s total fatalities since the outbreak stand at 19,617 with the addition of 74 deaths.

Meanwhile, 131,047 anti-virus vaccine doses were administered to the people during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 3,836,291. So far, 964,227 people have been fully vaccinated against the virus while 1,966,837 have been partially vaccinated in Pakistan.

On Saturday, the NCOC had also decided to ease restrictions that went into effect ahead of Eid. The high-level forum said markets would remain open till 8pm while the ban on interprovincial and intercity transport would also be lifted. Similarly, the office timings has been revised to its normal hours with staffers working at 50 per cent capacity.
