In the last 24 hours, 1,644 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 46 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC).

As of January 29, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 32,726. Yesterday, 43,831 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 12,151; Punjab: 16,970; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6,800; Islamabad: 6,152; Balochistan: 527; Gilgit-Baltistan: 370 and Azad Kashmir: 411.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 301 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.

A total of 541,031 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 8,953; Balochistan: 18,798; GB: 4,909, ICT: 41,176, KPK: 66,451; Punjab: 156,404 and Sindh: 244,340.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 11,514 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 4,681 casualties followed by Sindh: 3,969, KPK: 1,879; Islamabad: 476; Balochistan: 194; GB: 102 and AJK: 259.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,590 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 7,848,316 tests.
