
The Pakistan Air Force says that one of his fighter trainer aircraft has crashed near Attock.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the PAF spokesperson said that both pilots ejected from the jet in time and no loss of life or property was reported on the ground.
The PAF has set up a board of inquiry to determine the cause of the accident.
During the past year, PAF has reported at least four crashes during routine training missions. The first incident occurred in January 2020 when a PAF aircraft crashed near Mianwali while on a routine operational training mission. Squadron Leader Haris bin Khalid and Flying Officer Ibaadur Rehman were martyred in the accident.
This was followed by another incident in February near Shorkot city in Punjab. No loss of life or property was reported on the ground. In the same month, another jet crashed near Takht Bhai in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mardan district – the pilot ejected safely before the crash.
The fourth took place nearPindigheb, Attock. The incident, too, occurred during a routine training mission and no loss of life was reported.
