Chairman Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday filed his nomination papers to contest a by-election on a National Assembly seat (NA-249) in Karachi, vacant after Faisal Wada’s resignation.

“I have filed nomination papers for the NA-249 by-election,” Mustafa Kamal told the media, following the move.

“Those political parties who won seats from Karachi are unable to solve the issues,” he added.

He further claimed that the deprivations that Karachi faces today have never been witnessed in the past, stating that the elected MNAs of Karachi have no voice in the National Assembly and have failed to raise the issues of the city.

With all eyes set on the vacant National Assembly seat in Karachi, the PML-N, PTI, MQM-P, PSP, ANP, and other parties have announced to contest by-poll elections and various candidates have submitted their nomination papers.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader, Miftah Ismail, and Pakistan People’s Party Sindh’s President Nisar Khuhro have been among the candidates who have received nomination papers for the by-election in the Karachi West district.
