ISLAMABAD: Special Representative of the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has said that the mosques will remain open during the holy month of Ramazan with complete observation of the coronavirus SOPs.
Talking to the media here on Wednesday, he rejected rumours of closure of mosques and criticised statements against coronavirus vaccination.
He said that there is decree of religious scholars that the people should get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19.
Earlier, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sahibzada Noor-ul-Haq Qadri has announced that mosques will not be closed during Ramazan.
Tahir Ashrafi said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon visit Saudi Arabia on the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
He said Pakistan’s relations have tremendously improved with the Arab countries under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
