Terrorists in Afghanistan fired five rockets into Pakistan as a result of which a minor was martyred and seven children sustained injuries, said an ISPR press release.
It said: “Today at 1450 hours, terrorists fired five rockets from inside Afghanistan in Lagharai sector and Saraka top, Bajaur. A five year old minor, resident of Mamund, Bajaur embraced shahadat while seven minors, including a girl, got injured.”
Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies rushed to the affected area and shifted the injured to Khar hospital.
Senior military and civil administration officials, including Sector Commander (North), Bajaur deputy commissioner, DPO and SP (Investigation) visited Khar Hospital after the rocket attack and inquired after the injured children.
The terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan have in the past resorted to firing on border areas of Pakistan and injured the civilians.
