The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has decided to take up case against the organisers of Aurat March on April 26.

The case was filed by the Shuhada Foundation of Lal Masjid through its counsel Tariq Asad last week seeking a ban on the march. It had also urged the court to take action against the Open Society Foundation for holding such activities.

According to a report in Dawn, the case was earlier taken up by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb; however, the complainant requested the judge to refer this to some other bench. Subsequently, the judge referred the case to the IHC chief justice.

So now the high court has formed a new bench and Justice Amir Farooq will hear the case.
