Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the government spokespersons to highlight the achievements of the government in the field of economics.
The prime minister was presiding over a meeting of government spokespersons on Monday in which all important national and global issues were discussed.
The prime minister said that the country’s economy is improving due to the government measures. The country’s exports have increased by 13.5 percent and the current account deficit has been wiped out.
Prime Minister Imran said that IT exports were increased by 44 percent, sale of cement increased by 40 percent, sale of tractors increased by 58 percent. Due to government positive steps, farmers earned Rs1.1 billion more than what they were expecting, he added.
He said that due to worldwide inflationary trends, Pakistan was also affected and crude oil, palm oil and other items became dearer.
Prime Minister Imran reiterated that there would be no compromise on the rule of law and accountability, adding that the government was doing its best to provide relief to the people.
The meeting also considered the government’s strategy in political and parliamentary affairs. The issue of Palestine and Israeli attacks on Gaza were also discussed at the meeting.
