Trilochan Singh Wazir a Former member of the Indian Illegaly Occupied Kashmir Legislative Council has been murdered in his flat in Moti Nagar, Delhi.

The dead body of the 67-year-old Wazir with the head wrapped in a plastic bag has been found in a flat’s washroom rented by Wazir’s close acquaintances, informed local police of Amritsar.

The National Conference leader Wazir arrived in Delhi on September 2 and stayed with his two friends Harpreet Singh and Harmeet Sing in a rented flat in the Basai Darapur area, said the police.

The Police said that they have tasked multiple teams to trace the two acquaintances who are on the run since Wazir’s murder adding that their call details have been traced and raids on their possible hideouts have been conducted.

The brother of the deceased claimed that his brother was leaving for Canada on September 2 to meet his family. 

National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have been in great pain and shock over the murder.

“Shocked by the terrible news of the sudden death of my colleague Sardar T. S. Wazir, ex-member of the Legislative Council. It was only a few days ago that we sat together in Jammu not realizing it was the last time I would be meeting him. May his soul rest in peace,” he tweeted.

Taking to Twitter, President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and National Spokesperson of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that he had been in great shock and pain as the news of his mentor-like friend struck him.

Sirsa added, “He has given valuable services as Chairman of District Gurudwara Parbandak Board, J&K. My deep condolences to his family. May Waheguru grant eternal peace to his soul,”

Meanwhile, All IIOJ&K Transport Welfare Association said that the murder of Wazir was unfortunate and called on a passenger and commercial vehicles strike at Lakhanpur.

The transporters have demanded a special investigation team to investigate the case and insisted that serious action against the culprit be taken.
