Police have arrested a cleric in Nowshera for hate speech and making derogatory remarks about the women doctors and nurses, the police said Wednesday.
The cleric has been identified as Mufti Sardar Ali Haqqani and was arrested after his video went viral.
According to police, the cleric has been found guilty of such speeches in the past as well. The police are of the opinion that no one will be able to create unrest in the area.
Police added that no one will be allowed to demean the government officers and make provocative speeches. Social media users appreciated the prompt response of police against the cleric.
