Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has thanked the army and rangers for helping civil administration  in implementing coronavirus SOPs in the province.

He was addressing the media after a meeting of the Apex Committee on Wednesday.

Buzdar said the committee reviewed the coronavirus situation in the province.

He said the committee decided to tighten SOPs in cities with eight percent positive rate of coronavirus.

The chief minister said more than one million people have been vaccinated in Punjab.

The Punjab government is using all available resources to control the pandemic, he added.
