Bollywood star Aamir Khan has joined list of Indian film celebrities who have contracted COVID-19.
So far, Kartik Aaryan, Ranbir Kapoor and Kriti Sanon have been tested positive for the coronavirus. During the past week, actor Satish Kaushik, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Manoj Bajpayee and Siddhant Chaturvedi have confirmed contracting coronavirus and are under home quarantine.
A spokesperson for Aamir Khan issued a statement saying that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is at home in self quarantine, following all protocols and is doing fine.
The spokesperson added: “All those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure. Thank you for all your wishes and concern.”
Aamir was recently in news for deciding to quit social media. On March 15, he took to social media and wrote that he was taking a break from social media. He thanked everyone for all the love and warmth he had received on his birthday a day earlier.
Aamir had joined Instagram in 2018, on his 53rd birthday.
Meanwhile, Aamir’s next movie will be Laal Singh Chaddha, the Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ 1994 film Forrest Gump. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan.
