People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Nawaz League (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Thursday took a swipe at the ruling PTI after winning Senate election held a day earlier.

Bilawal claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has been rejected by his own MNAs and allies and added that “we will not give you an NRO.”

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad along with Yousaf Raza Gilani on Thursday he warned the prime minister that “we will not spare you. You will not be able to escape.”

Bilawal said Prime Minister Imran Khan has lost the confidence of parliamentarians, including his allies.

“We have proved that even your party members don’t trust you,” Bilawal continued.

He repeated his old rhetoric that the incompetent and illegal government only brought pain and suffering to the people of Pakistan. “They celebrated the victory of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Senate election,” a refence to Yousaf Raza Gilani’s win.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had promised that he would dissolve the assembly if he lost the Islamabad seat.” But now he is trying to back out of his promise,” Bilawal added.

Instead of dissolving the assembly, he is playing another card by seeking a vote of confidence from the parliament, he continued.

“You will not be taking decisions anymore,” Bilawal said categorically.

He said he will set the time for no-confidence motion and inform him. “The PDM will decide, and we will start a no-confidence motion,” Bilawal maintained.

He said that the opposition will continue to fight against the government and will expose it. The PPP chairman threatened the PTI that “no one will be able to save the government.”

Bilawal said that the PDM will continue its fight in the election of the chairman.

Later, Nawaz League Vice President Maryam Nawaz said that those who were trying to dismember the PML-N were themselves disintegrating.

She was addressing the general council meeting of the PML-N on Thursday.

The PML-N vice president thanked her party members for voting for Yousaf Raza Gilani in the Senate elections.

“Our parliamentarians observed discipline and voted for Yousaf Raza Gilani,” she said and added that she was grateful to all 83 parliamentarians who accepted Nawaz Sharif’s narrative.

Maryam said that the prime minister was aware of the fact that his party was bound to fail. Sensing his defeat, he had tried to introduce presidential ordinances and had “dragged the Supreme Court” when it came to the Senate elections, she added.

About the confidence vote, she said how could Imran Khan seek the vote from his own party men after accusing them of selling their vote.

Maryam said that whenever general elections will be held, the PML-N will sweep to power.

About allegations by the ministers that the Senate elections were rigged, Maryam ridiculed them by saying whether the recent by-elections were not rigged.

Maryam said that Imran Khan must not blame his lawmakers, adding that everyone knew this was the first and the last time he had risen to power.

“You and your aides know that you have no future and you have no party,” she concluded.
