Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar has taken control of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), as the new Chief. The change of command ceremony took place today, Friday, in Islamabad.

Fawad Chaudhry,  Federal Minister for Science and Technology, congratulated Zaheer Babar on the new title.

“Congratulations to Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Baber Sindhu on assuming charge of one of the finest air forces of the world, wishing you all the best.”

Earlier this week, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Imran Khan. During the meeting, the Prime Minister appreciated the meritorious services of the Air Chief rendered in the service of the nation and wished him well.

The Government of Pakistan appointed Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu as the new Chief of Air Staff with effect from 19 March 2021.
