The in-charge of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) prosecutors’ office in Helmand was killed on Saturday morning along with his security guard and eight people sustained injuries in a blast in the city of Lashkargah.

The family of Syed Mahmood Sadat confirmed that he was killed in a car bomb explosion in front of the Helmand police headquarters.

Helmand Governor Abdul Nabi Ilham, while confirming the death, said that eight people, including a woman, were wounded in the blast.

No group has so far claimed responsibility of the attack.
