Over the last 24 hours, 1,361 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan, according to data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Meanwhile, 64 people lost their lives to the virus.

As of February 25, 2021, there are 23,281 active cases of COVID-19 in Pakistan.

Punjab continues to register the greatest number of COVID-19 deaths, followed by Sindh.

The number of fatalities registered in the provinces stands at 5,308 in Punjab, 4,315 in Sindh, 2,058 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 494 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 199 in Balochistan, 102 in Gilgit Baltistan (GB), and 296 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

To date, a total of 575,941 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Pakistan (AJK 10,022; Balochistan 19,010; GB 4,955, ICT 43,901; KP 71,490; Punjab 169,474; Sindh 257,089).

So far, 539,888 people have recovered across Pakistan, making it a significant count.
