The number of coronavirus infections around the world has surged passed 90 million, according to data released by John Hopkins University. Cases have doubled worldwide over a span of just ten weeks, with 90,005,787 recorded infections as of Sunday.

The United States of America continues to maintain its position as the worst hit country with more than 22.2 million cases.

UK is aiming to immunize its susceptible segments of the populations by mid-February.

“The UK vaccine delivery plan will be the keystone of our exit out of the pandemic but we all must continue to play our part by staying at home, following the rules and keeping hands, face, space at the forefront of our minds when out and about,” said UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
