Islamabad United have appointed Rumman Raees as a bowling consultant for the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The left-arm pace bowler has missed Pakistan’s domestic season due to a back injury and will not be participating in PSL 6 as well. Rumman was given the green light after interviews with the head coach Johan Botha and owner Ali Naqvi.

Johan Botha, the head coach of Islamabad United lauded and welcomed Raees and said, “Rummi is perfect for our ideology. He is playing cricket currently, understands the needs of modern cricket and can relate to our young bowling line-up.”

Rumman has been part of the franchise since the start of the league. He has represented Islamabad in 32 games and has bagged 34 wickets. So far, he has represented Pakistan in 8 One Day Internationals and 9 T20Is.
