Due to the on-going pandemic, there is still uncertainty over the venues for the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Three plans are under consideration by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The sixth edition of PSL is scheduled to be played between February 20 and March 22, this year.

The first one is to hold matches in two legs in Karachi and Lahore. The first leg of the tournament to be played in Karachi while the remaining matches including playoffs in Lahore.

According to Plan B, Rawalpindi and Multan are being considered as the venues in place of Karachi and Lahore. The PCB officials have been told that bio-secure facilities are available in both cities.

The third plan is to schedule the tournament across four venues just like last year. The financial cost with regards to COVID-19 protocols is the biggest hurdle in this regard. Also the PCB’s management is very clear that the health of the players is paramount.

The final decision about this will be taken after consultation with all six franchises and the Board of Governors.
