The fans of the two cricketing giants, Pakistan and India were up against each other after Pakistan’s former captain Imran Khan beat Virat Kohli in a poll conducted by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on their Twitter page.

The poll asked the Twitter users to select the best captain from Imran Khan, former South Africa captain AB de Villiers, current Indian captain Virat Kohli and Australian women team captain Meg Lanning.

“You decide which of these ‘pacesetters’ were the best among these geniuses!” tweeted ICC.

The results showed that Prime Minister Imran Khan won the poll with 47.3% votes in comparison to 46% of Virat Kohli.

The results set the twitter on fire. A Twitter user while claiming Khan’s victory said that ” Once a champion, always a champion.”

The Federal Ministers also didn’t back away from this. The Minister of State for Climate change tweeted and said ” In all fairness, the poll doesn’t fully reflect the massive differential. Imran Khan is inarguably the greatest cricketer and skipper to emerge from Sub Continent.”

A fan took a dig at Indian captain Virat Kohli by sharing his video from the final of the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017 in which a Pakistani fan is mocking Kohli by saying ‘Kohli nae hota tujh sy chase.’
