The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Saturday suspended Shakib Al Hasan for three matches and fined him Taka 500,000 ($5,800 approx.), having found him guilty of abusing the umpires, ground staff, and equipment during June 11’s Dhaka Premier League T20 match between Abahani Limited and Mohammedan Sporting Club.

BCB said that iIt was a level 3 offence under the code of conduct, and the cricketer Shakib has accepted the sanctions.

Mohammedan captain Shakib had kicked the stumps after umpire Imran Parvez turned down his lbw appeal against Mushfiqur Rahim in yesterday’s match.

Mohammedan won the game by 31 runs (DLS method), though, Shakib looked to have resumed cordial relations with the umpires, and later apologised for his actions in a Facebook post.
