The Sindh High Court has extended the interim bail of Manzoor Wassan until October 4

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has given the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) a month to decide on the corruption inquiry against PPP leader Mansoor Wassan.

ARY reported that Wassan’s counsel pleaded with the court to extend his bail as the inquiry against him was still pending.

The SHC bench asked the NAB prosecutor why the inquiry was not finished yet.

The judge also said that earlier they were told that the inquiry was being closed. He asked the prosecutor why the matter kept getting delayed.

The prosecutor replied that objections were raised on the report submitted earlier, so now a new report has been sent to the NAB headquarters.

The Honourable Court then directed the accountability agency to complete the inquiry within 30 days, and also summoned a progress report on the matter.

The court also extended the interim bail of Manzoor Wassan until October 4.

According to the NAB, the PPP leader is accused of owning Benami properties and being in possession of unknown assets beyond his known sources of income.
