Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the government is making another state institutions controversial.

Addressing a press conference at Media Cell Bilawal House in Karachi, he said by filing reference on the Senate elections, the federal government has once again tried to make an institution controversial.

Bilawal said the court has no role in this matter.

Responding to a question, the PPP chairman said that the PDM would protest in front of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on January 19.

He demanded that ECP should first take the case against the PTI to its logical conclusion.

Referring to the PIA plane issue in Malaysia, he said that the people are worried where the country stands today because of the illegitimate prime minister. Such things never happened in our history, he added.

The PPP chairman said the issue shows where the country stands at the moment.

Talking about recent power outage, he said the whole country plunged into darkness, and the government has no answer.

Bilawal said that there is severe shortage of gas, but the government seems to be unaware of the situation. Sindh should be given priority in the supply of gas, which is its fundamental right.

He said that Pakistan was lagging far behind the neighbouring countries in terms of coronavirus vaccine. The government has not yet imported the vaccines, whereas the private sector is importing the vaccine. That means whoever has the money will be able to get the vaccine.

He said the Sindh government had been told by the federal government that the vaccine would be available in January, and the provincial government had made preparations to launch vaccination.

Senator Sherry Rehman, PPP Information Secretary MNA Shazia Marri and Sindh Information Minister Nasir Shah were also present on the occasion.
