Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will embark on a three-day visit to Iran on Tuesday.

Qureshi will depart Abu Dhabi for Iran capital Tehran where he will meet his counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif.

The invitation to visit Iran was extended by Javad Zarif during his visit to Pakistan in November 2020. The Iranian foreign minister extended the invitation again during his visit to Dushanbe to attend Heart of Asia – Istanbul Conference last month.

Foreign Minister Qureshi’s agenda includes talks on bilateral issues, Pakistan-India conflict, Afghan peace process and other matters of mutual interests, including deliberations on regional developments.

Meanwhile, Qurreshi will meet his Emirati counterpart at Abu Dhabi later in the day.
