In the last 24 hours, 2511 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 58 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

As of March 16, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 23,355. Yesterday, 35,303 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 8,511; Punjab:13,727; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP):6,205; Islamabad(ICT):5,369; Balochistan:398; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB):377 and Azad Kashmir(AJK):716.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 258 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 573,014 recoveries.

A total of 609,964 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 11089; Balochistan:19233; GB:4961; ICT:48495, KPK:76379; Punjab:188225 and Sindh:261582.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 13595 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5812 casualties followed by Sindh:4461; KPK:2169; Islamabad: 526; Balochistan: 202; GB: 103 and AJK: 322.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,394 patients being treated across the country. A total of 9,565,066 tests have been conducted so far.
