There seems no letup in the horrors of Sharifs regarding their wealth abroad as the asset recovery firm, Broadsheet LLC, has claimed that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif offered them a bribe to abandon the probe against him.

Broadsheet CEO Kaveh Moussavi said in an interview that the offer was made in 2012 by a person who claimed to be a nephew of Nawaz Sharif. But the company had flatly refused retorting that it would not negotiate with crooks, he added.

Moussavi claimed that the Sharif family has assets not only in the United Kingdom but across the globe.

He said after President Musharraf left the office, his successors started hampering the investigation by the company by not giving access to information and termination of contract.

He criticised Nawaz Sharif for claiming that the company had exonerated him, adding that it was a lie.

Broadsheet was ready to investigate the money trail for Avenfield apartments if the government of Pakistan asked for,” he said.

Moussavi claimed that Nawaz Sharif was behind the termination of the contract with Broadsheet.

He said Musharraf had tasked Broadsheet to locate assets of 200 people. But, after his exit, the NAB started asking to remove names of certain people from the list and the company refused to do it. The NAB terminated contract in 2003.
