Recent hectic political activity seems to be taking its toll on PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman as both were reportedly having fever.

Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head Maulana Fazal has been suffering from fever for the last two days, said JUI-F sources.

At present, he is residing at Dera Ismail Khan.

Sources said Maulana Fazal had, as a precaution, tested for COVID-19 and the result was negative.

Sources said the Maulana has suspended political activities on the advice of his doctor and having rest at his residence.

Maryam Nawaz, in the meanwhile, has been suffering from high fever and severe pain in her throat, said spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb.

“Maryam Nawaz has suspended political activities for four days,” she said in a statement. “She has also gotten herself tested for coronavirus.”

She said the PML-N vice president has been advised complete rest by her doctor. She appeared before Lahore High Court despite fever, Marriyum Aurangzeb added.
