Protests and sit-ins continue in Lahore over the killing of 11 miners in Machh, Balochistan and the subsequent issue of the Prime Minister’s refusal to visit the mourners.

As of now, protesters continue to stage a sit-in at the Governor House Chowk to show solidarity with the Hazara community. Other parts of the city are also seeing similar sit-ins and protests.

The railway junction at the Imamia Colony has been blocked by the protestors, rendering the railway track inaccessible to trains. Similarly, both sides of the Multan Road have been occupied by the protestors as well.

Motorway-Thokar Niaz Baig has been blocked and the on-coming and out-going traffic has been suspended.

Protesters continue to sit on Ferozepur Road and Chungi Amrisadhu.

According to the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, the Traffic Police Department has deployed additional wardens to divert traffic to alternative routes.
