Pakistani Foreign Minister said on Friday that India has planned a ‘surgical strike’ against Pakistan and has tried to seek consent from important international players for this strike.

Talking to media in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said he has just received information that India has planned such a strike. He said India has planned this strike to divert the world’s attention from multiple serious internal crises.

He said Pakistan is ready to respond any such misadventure. He further reminded India that Pakistan had responded to Indian ‘surgical strike’ effectively in February 2019.

Responding to a question, Mr Qureshi said Pakistan’s position on Israel remains unchanged.

Pakistani armed forces had been put on alert this month on the reports of a false flag operation from India. Defence analysts said India has been trying to stage false flag terror attacks in its own country to have a pretext to launch an operation against Pakistan. They added that this is being done to divert attention from Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) which has been under siege for the last 501 days.
