The government has announced that it will provide an uninterrupted supply of electricity across the country during the sehri and iftar hours.
According to the power division, provision of electricity during these hours will be ensured on all feeders.

Meanwhile, the government has issued new guidelines for Ramzan in an attempt to alleviate the rising cases of COVID-19 in Pakistan. The country recorded 135 deaths today, the highest number of single-day deaths this year.
The meeting led to the decision of ‘broader lockdowns’ being put into effect, with stringent enforcement protocols based on risk assessment.
Moreover, the notification stated that “outdoor dining will be allowed from iftar till midnight, example 11:59 PM, with strict SOPs, while takeaways will be allowed.”
Market timings will be from Sehr to 6 PM, while taraweeh prayers will be organised in open spaces. The notification also stated that a 50 per cent work from home policy will continue in Ramzan too.
