On Monday, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz urged that opposition should resolve all issues by dialogue and government is ready for talks with PDM’s leadership barring Maryam Nawaz and Maulana Fazalur Rehman, who are not in the parliament.

“National dialogue is part of politics but both PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who are not part of parliament, will be excluded from the process.”

He was also accompanied by Faisal Vawda, Minister for Water Resources and Fawad Chaudhary, Minister for Science and Technology.

Shibli further said that PDM is persistent on demanding resignation from the government on the account of election rigging but does not want to work towards any electoral reforms.

“The opposition leadership believes that if they win, the elections are free and fair but if someone else wins, they are rigged.”

It was a regrettable sight to see the people who were responsible for the hanging of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto sharing stage with the PPP leadership in Garhi Khuda Baksh.

“Usually, events to mark the death anniversaries are not used to deliver political speeches but they utilised the event for political point-scoring.”

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said, “The government is ready to hold dialogue with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) but not with political interns like Maryam and Bilawal Bhutto.”

“The government has already decided parliament as the forum and the electoral reforms as the agenda for talks,” he said.

The minister took a dig at Bilawal and Maryam and said that dialogue can’t be done with political interns but government will talk with the sane minded leadership.

“Neither the PPP leaders felt ashamed of inviting the PML-N to attend their meeting nor the latter felt any humiliation in accepting the invitation.”
