Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) stalwart and former senator Usman Kakar passed away on Monday a few days after he was injured in an accident at his house in Shehbaz Town, Quetta.

On Sunday, he was moved to Karachi’s Agha Khan Hospital in critical condition. He had suffered a brain hemorrhage and was in a coma for the past few days.

His body will be moved back to Quetta after postmortem, a PkMAP official said, adding that a statement by the party will be issued after a meeting currently underway in the provincial capital.
