Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) General Babar Iftikhar on Monday said that Pakistan Army should not be dragged into politics.

Speaking to media, he said that the Army is not involved in national politics and has no back-door contact with any politician. He further said that if anyone has any proof of the military’s involvement in politics, they should present it.

He repeated that no such thing is happening in Pakistan, and the military institution should not be dragged through such speculation.

“I once again categorically state that Army has nothing to do politics,” DG ISPR said. “We have our hands full; we are dealing with internal and external security threats.”
