The 34-member federal cabinet finally took oath on Tuesday after the cabinet division issued a list of ministers, ministers of state and advisors last night.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani administered the oath in a simple ceremony held in the Presidency in Islamabad.
The list had the names of 31 federal ministers, three ministers of state and three advisers to the Prime Minister.
The federal cabinet had to take oath on Monday but President Arif Alvi excused himself from administrating oaths to the federal cabinet members, leaving the government with no choice but to postpone it.
Sadiq Sanjrani administered oath to Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Miftah Ismail, Mian Javed Latif, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Azam Nazir Tarar, Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Syed Naveed Qamar, Sherry Rehman, Abdul Qadir Patel, Shazia Murree, Syed Murtaza Mahmood, Sajid Hussain Turi, Ehsan-ur-Rehman Mazari, Abid Hussain, Asad Mahmood, Abdul Wasi, and Mufti Abdul Shakoor.
Talha Mahmood, Syed Aminul Haq, Syed Faisal Ali Sabzwari, Muhammad Israr Tareen, Nawabzada Shah Zain Bugti and Tariq Bashir Cheema were also sworn in as federal ministers.
In addition, Dr Ayesha Ghous Pasha, Hina Rabbani Khar and Abdul Rehman Khan Kanjo took oath as ministers of state.
Qamar Zaman Kaira, Amir Muqam and Aun Chaudhry have been administered oath as advisors.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also attended the swearing in ceremony.
