The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is meeting today (Sunday) for Shawwal moon sighting to decide the festival of Eidul Fitr.

The central committee meeting is being held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in Islamabad with Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad in the chair. The zonal committees are hold meetings at provincial capitals and some other places to see the Shawwal crescent.

Maulana Azad will announce the final decision about the sighting of the crescent.

If the moon is sighted today, Eidul Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow (Monday).

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said that there are no chances of the Shawwal moon being sighted today and therefore, Eidul Fitr may fall on Tuesday in Pakistan.
